How small or large can an order be?

Between 1 and 100 articles. One tier applies to the whole order, so if you want a mix, run two orders side by side. A spreadsheet import accepts up to 100 rows.

What does an article cost?

$6 per article on Brand Standard and $10 on Brand Plus. There is no subscription and no minimum — you pay for the articles in the order, once.

When am I charged, and by whom?

Always after you have seen the full article list and the total, never before. The price is captured onto the order at that moment, so later pricing changes never affect an order already placed. Checkout shows you one of two ways to pay: by card, where Lemon Squeezy, LLC is the merchant of record and handles the receipt and any tax; or against an invoice we send you, payable by bank transfer, where you are billed by us directly and writers start once the payment reaches us.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

Any article a writer has not picked up yet can be cancelled for a pro-rata refund at the price you paid. Once a writer has started, that article is being worked on and is not refundable — the rest of the order still is.

Do I own the articles?

Yes. Copyright in each delivered article assigns to you on payment. The full wording is in the terms of service.

Who writes the articles?

Freelance writers, all of whom applied and had writing samples read before being approved. They use whatever tools they choose, including AI tools — what we run is the workflow and the quality gate, not the writing.

What does the editor actually check?

A human editor reads every submission against your brief before you see it: whether it answers the title, whether the keywords are used naturally, whether the images are credited and carry alt text, and whether the length is within the range you asked for. They approve it, fix it themselves, or send it back to the writer with notes.

How many revisions do I get?

2 per article, on every tier, at no extra cost. Send an article back with a note and it goes to a writer and then an editor again before returning to you. Editors are paid for up to 2 passes per review cycle, which is our cost, not yours.

How long does an order take?

Several writers work one order at the same time, so a large order does not take proportionally longer than a small one — 100 or more articles can be delivered inside a day. A single writer holds an article for up to 5 hours before it returns to the board.

Can I set the tone and audience per article?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Anything you set for the order flows into every article and stays editable per article — length, tone, audience, instructions, whether links and references are wanted. We also suggest a voice, an audience and up to 3 secondary keywords per row, which you can keep, change or ignore.

How do articles reach me?

As a Google Doc, as clean HTML, or both — chosen per order or per article. Brand Plus can also post straight to your WordPress site as a draft or published, on a schedule you set.

How long can an article be, and how many images?

Up to 3,500 words on Brand Standard; Brand Plus has no word limit. Standard allows up to 4 images per article and Plus up to 5, credited and captioned in the body; Plus additionally allows manually sourced images.

What is the catch with WordPress auto-posting?

Speed costs you the revision window. On auto-post orders an article is marked complete about 30 seconds after the editor approves it, which is too short to request a revision through us — changes happen in your WordPress drafts instead. You accept that explicitly at checkout. Leave auto-posting off and you keep the full revision allowance.

What if I never mark an article complete?

It completes on its own 5 days after approval, so an order does not stall in your inbox. You can always mark articles complete sooner.

What does it pay?

A fixed rate per completed article, whatever the topic or length, paid every Friday by M-Pesa. We share the figure with you when your application is approved. The amount is recorded against the article when you earn it, so a later rate change never rewrites what you are owed.

How do I get approved to write?

Apply with two writing samples — links to published work, or something you wrote pasted in. We read for structure, argument and prose that survives being read aloud, and we reply either way rather than leaving you waiting.

How many articles can I hold at once?

Up to 10 at a time. It is a concurrency limit, not a quota — there is no minimum, no ranking by volume and no penalty for claiming one article.

What are the deadlines?

A claim lasts 5 hours. If it lapses, the article returns to the board with your draft intact and anyone can take it, including you. A send-back from an editor gives you a fresh 5-hour clock, and a client revision request waits 3 hours for you before it is offered more widely.

Can I use AI tools?

Yes, and you are not required to. We neither mandate nor forbid them. What is assessed is the article — whether it matches the brief, reads well, uses its keywords naturally and credits its sources.

Do I see who the client is?

Accepted Answer

No. You see the website and the brief, never the client's identity. Client-side pricing is never shown to writers either.

What if the client disputes the payment?
